At Haberdashers’ Slade Green Primary, all children are valued and respected. Equality of opportunity is a priority and we are committed to removing any barriers to learning and meeting the needs of all children. We seek to provide teaching and learning opportunities that enable all children to attain and achieve through a broad, balanced and appropriately differentiated curriculum. We are ambitious for all children and our staff team work relentlessly to enable all children to thrive, experience a fulfilling school career and unlock their maximum potential. We look to identify, assess, support and review learners’ needs in line with the SEN Code of Practice and believe early intervention to be the key to enabling all children to reach their potential.
Ensuring Equality for Disabled Pupils
At Haberdashers’ Slade Green Primary we are committed to establishing equality for all pupils, their parents, staff and other users of the school. Using our Accessibility Plan, we set out to promote equality of opportunity for disabled people: pupils, staff, parents, carers and other people who use the school or may wish to through:
- providing safe access throughout the school for all school users
- ensuring that the learning and teaching environment and the resources used are suitable for all staff and pupils, making reasonable adjustments to meet individual needs
- providing a curriculum offer that is accessible to all pupils 2
- improving the availability of accessible information relating to the school to parents, pupils, staff and visitors
