Physical Education (PE)
We are excited to announce that we will be introducing the Real PE Philosophy in September 2022!
At Haberdashers' Slade Green we are committed to providing all children with learning opportunities to engage in Physical Education, enrich their understanding with a wide range of knowledge and skills, and excel in physical activity. This policy reflects our School’s values and philosophy in relation to the teaching and learning of PE. It sets out a framework within which teaching and non-teaching staff can work, and gives guidance on planning, teaching and assessment. We aim to provide a PE curriculum that pupils from Reception to Year 6 not only enjoy but also allows them to experience a range of activities that help them to develop their health, fitness and wellbeing. We intend to offer a high-quality physical education curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It provides opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.
Our PE leader is Mrs Spicer.
