Parent Governor Elections
We are currently running parent governor elections. The election will be carried out via an online, secure, secret ballot. The link to the ballot page and details of how to vote will be sent by email to all parents / cares who are registered with parental responsibility and have an email addressed saved on their school record. If you do not receive an email once the ballot opens and you believe that you should have been, please contact the school office.
If you do not have internet access, the school office will be able to help you to participate. Every parent or carer of a child at Haberdashers’ Slade Green Primary has one vote in the election, regardless of how many children they have in the school.

- Isata Mansaray
Statement: I am a very motivated, ambitious and focused person. As a mother of two and a teaching assistant in a primary school I have an interest in education, young people and schools. I am prepared to use my skills and knowledge for the benefit of the school. The very crucial stage in Children's life is their primary school stages. Having a background of years in the education sector I believe Children learn more during their primary school years than any other times in their lives. I believe that time should be inspiring, creative, nourishing, rewarding and happy. Through promoting diversity inclusions and respect. As I always state in my own words [Every child is unique in their own ways]. Our children will become our future. I passionately believe that primary schools can be a creative cauldrons of a brighter future for our community.
- Jake Kane
Statement: As a committed parent I am eager to bring my passion for education and my dedication to our children’s future to the role of parent governor. I believe my diverse experiences, along with my strong advocacy for inclusive educational practices, make me a suitable candidate for this position. I am particularly focused on fostering an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their best. I am committed to listening to the voices of fellow parents and ensuring that our perspectives are taken into account in the decision-making processes. My career has equipped me with the skills necessary to contribute to the strategic development of the school. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with the school leadership and other governors to ensure that we provide our children with a high-quality education and a nurturing environment.
- Adebola Bajela
Statement: I am passionate about supporting education and fostering collaboration between parents, teachers, and leadership. For 10 years, I served as Vice-Chairman of the PTA at my children's school in Nigeria. I worked collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote initiatives that enhanced the educational environment and fostered a strong sense of community.
Now in the UK, I am deeply committed to supporting the education and well-being of all children, not just my own. I am eager to bring a fresh perspective, informed by my background and dedication, to contribute to the school's continued success. I believe in creating an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive, I am passionate about building strong partnerships between parents, teachers, and leadership.
If elected, I will work diligently to represent parents' interests, support the school's vision, ensure that every child's education and well-being remain at the heart of every decision.
- Kam Dhinsey:
Statement: I am a father of three and have 12 years of experience in sales and management, which has equipped me with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. These attributes, combined with my passion for supporting young people, make me an ideal candidate for the role of parent governor.
As a parent, I understand the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and personally. My professional experience has given me the ability to make informed decisions, manage resources effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
If elected, I will bring a proactive approach to addressing challenges, representing the views of parents, and ensuring that the school continues to deliver a high-quality education for all pupils. I am committed to fostering strong relationships between parents, staff, and the school leadership to support the continued success of our school community.

Statement: My name is Seyi, and I am excited to stand for the role of parent governor at Haberdashers' Slade Green Primary. As a parent, I am passionate about ensuring every child receives the best possible education and support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
In my career as a solicitor, I have developed skills in policy implementation, legal scrutiny, decision-making, and teamwork, which are essential for effective governance. I am adept at interpreting complex information, ensuring fairness, and making informed decisions—qualities I would bring to the governing board.
I am committed to being a voice for parents, working with the school leadership to enhance academic outcomes, promote inclusivity, and support students’ wellbeing. I believe strong collaboration between families, the school, and the wider community is vital to achieving this.
